The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vera Marsh can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My Mama

My Mama will be missed. What a good great cook she was. She could whip up the best country cooking for miles around. Her creamed corn, strawberry cobbler, fried green tomatoes, dumplings and dressing were the best. Mama wasn't much help in an emergency. She would be alert but her legs would turn to jello at the first sign of trouble. She could talk to you but she couldn't move a muscle. Mama grew up on the farm and she worked hard. I can remember many days when she would be in the fields working hard all day long. She could pick cotton the fastest of any one i knew. I would try my best to out pick her but I never could. Mama never had much when she was growing up but she had the love of all her brothers and sisters. They were so close and they all loved (or love) the Lord. What a legacy she left for all her children and grandchildren. I know she is in heaven with my sweet Daddy now and they are walking over Heaven together. Mama we will miss you but I know you are happy now and i wouldn't wish you back to this world. Give Daddy a big hug for me. I love you, both. Linda
