Vera Nell Green Marsh, age 87, of Hayden passed away Thursday, November 6th, 2014 at her residence.

Survivors include son Anthony Eldridge (Linda) Marsh of Hayden; daughters Linda Paulette (Billy) Hoffman of Opelika, Vickie Jo (Kenneth) Timmerman of Blountsville, Shelia Diane (Dicky) McAnnally of Hayden; brothers Frank Green of Oneonta, W.C. (Karen) Green of Cleveland; sisters Eloise Lewis of Clearwater, Florida, Mary Catherine Allender of Gardendale; 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John Robert and Maebell Johnson Green; husband Eldridge Marsh; brother Edward Green; and sister Olene Standridge.

The family will receive friends at Nectar First Congregational Methodist Church Saturday, November 8th, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM in Nectar First Congregational Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath Hoffman, Shawn Marsh, Jamie McAnnally, Patrick McAnnally, Joseph McAnnally, and Alan Timmerman. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Hoffman and Mitchell Lee.

Mrs. Marsh loved cooking, quilting, fishing, her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
