Peter Carter Singleton, age 74, of Remlap passed away Sunday, December 6th, 2015 at his residence.

Survivors include wife Barbara Speakman Singleton; son Tandy Carter Singleton; daughters Tammy (James) Brown, Tina (Paul) Peacock, Tanya (Chad) Crumpton; brothers Johnny (Dorothy) Singleton, James O. (Mary Jo) Singleton, Randy Singleton; sisters Mary Nancy (Jerry) Nelson, Patsy Garrison; grandchildren Malea (Tyler), Kaylin, Trista (Christopher), Ashley, Donovan, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Dylan; great grandchild Braiden. He is preceded in death by his son Timothy Keith Singleton and parents Merle Singleton and Ola Bell Fuqua Singleton.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Thursday, December 10th, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Pawnee Baptist Church Cemetery 2370 Hewitt Drive Birmingham, AL 35217.

Mr. Singleton was a great husband and loving father. A 1960 graduate of Tarrant High School, he was a member of Pawnee Baptist Church, also attended Union Chapel Baptist Church. He worked 42 years for the Birmingham News as a Branch Manager and was a local dairy farmer.
