Obituary for Dorothy Wylene Sanders (Elliott)

Dorothy Wylene Sanders, age 84, of PInson passed away Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 at her residence.

Born August 5th, 1930 in Etowah County, Alabama. She graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1948.
She attended Massey Business College in Birmingham and was employed as a secretary at Star Loan Company. Moved to Canadaigua, New York and was employed at Brigham Hall Mental Hospital. She then moved to Anniston, Alabama and was employed at Lee Champion Garment Co. where she met her husband William and they moved to Lindale Texas for two years, afterwards moving to Pinson, Alabama where they raised their four children.
Mrs. Sanders in preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Jess and Lillie Elliott, her brothers Dan and Herman Elliott, sisters Jackie Treadwell and Rose Dohne, and her grandson Scott Sanders.

Survivors include sons Robert (Tricia) Sanders, Tom (Becky) Sanders; daughters Teresa (Robert) Rogers, Jeanne (Archie) Vanwilpe; grandchildren Tina (Randy) Vessels, Mark Sanders, Candice Collins, Aaron VanWilpe, Ashley, Brad, Heather, and Ben Moore; four great grandsons, two great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, December 13th, 2014 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Trafford, Alabama.

Mrs. Sanders loved to read, fish and garden but her greatest joy was taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.

Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
