Obituary

Bonnie Clara Kirby Bousquet, 73, of Blount County "Rosa" Alabama. passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 7, 2019. Bonnie "Mom" was such a caring soul! She loved her Boston Red Sox almost as much as her 4 sons....David Bousquet, who preceded her in death; (Shout out to Big Brother, I know you came to walk Mom home, I Love You!) Scott Bousquet of Maine; Michael and Ann Bousquet of Kansas; Tim and Soncito Adams of Georgia.
Mom had many interest and hobbies. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She had many, many pets through the years, but none more special than her current 2 cats and Pete the dog. You can tell the strength of a persons character by how they treat their pets and how the pets respond to them! Mom loved them and their loyalty to her speaks volumes.
All of these interests pale in comparison to the love she had for her grandchildren Brandon, Robert, Andrew, Scott, Gabrielle and Jacob. Robert and Carmin blessed her with her wonderful great grandbaby Benicio, whom she adored.
Mom was married in Ringold, Georgia on May 22,1963 to Albert Bousquet who has peceded her in death. She was born in Blount County and attended Susan Moore schools. She is preceded in death also by her parents Marion Edgar Kirby and Edith C. Doty; her brother James "J.B." Kirby and sisters Shirley Jo Kirby Thomas and Mintora Kirby.
Mom's love of family knew no bounds and she loved you all. If I tried to list each of you, I would inadvertently miss someone, so take my word she loved all the Kirby's, Doty's, Johnson's, and Bousquets. I do want to personally thank her nephew Brad Kirby, my eye and ears when I was many miles away. Mom thought of you as her 5th son. Thank you Brad!
Mom had many friends who she enjoyed bantering with over breakfast at Double B's, you were all her tribe. Mom wore her emotions on her sleeves but she was also quick to lend a hand or offer a loan. She was a hard worker as a Cook at many nursing homes over the years. She cooked for 80 residents with the same grace and diginity as if she was cooking at home for her family.
Mom I know I speak for all who knew and loved you that you will be missed! Love you to the Moon and back, much more and Mostest Momma, Momma we love you!

Please accept my condolence. I hope you find comfort in your memories of Bonnie and from others who remember her fondly. Psalms 46;1 says; "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress". May these words comfort your heart during this difficult time of loss. My deepest sympathy.

To the family, my deepest condolences in reading about the loss of your loved one. The scripture at Rev. 21: 3, 4 brings a measure of comfort as it states soon, sickness, pain, death, mourning and sorrow will be no more, the former things have passed away. Isaiah 33: 24 says no resident will say I am sick. Acts 24: 15 says there is going to be a resurrection. There are many scriptures of encouragement found in the Bible that gives hope for the future and of being reunited with your loved one again right here on a paradise restored earth (Psalms 37: 28, 29). May you find peace in knowing death is not the end.

I am filled with so many memories from of my beautiful Mother. Like when Brandon took his first steps ever right into your loving arms. How proud you were to be a Grammie, you always doted on those grandbabies. I remember the first time you held your grandbaby Benicio, how you wouldn't give him back and how you stared into his eyes and had a tear in your eye from beaming pride.

I remember growing up and pulling away, as adolescents do, how you insisted I give you a hug or a kiss before I got out of the car pulling up for school or practice. I was so embarrassed to be a Momma's boy all those years ago. Funny how you grow up you realize a Mother's Love is not something to be an embarrassed about, instead it something to be cherished.

I remember how all my high school friends preferred to hang out at our house, because they knew you would have fresh baked whoopie pies, fried apple pies, Aunt Gerstel's one of a kind peach cobbler or invite them to stay for pot roast dinner. You were always the most popular Mom, because you cared and took an interest in my friends lives. They all called you Mom, because you were a Mother to them as well.

I will forever miss the daily 0530 phone call on my way to work where you encouraged and listened to me like only a Mother can. You may have made the final journey to heaven but taught me the most valuable lesson in life...a Mother's Love last for eternity and I am one Momma's Boy who is so thankful it does.

I love you to Heaven and Back. ~Mikey Mike
