Obituary for Yvonne Gaye Godfrey (Hurd)

Yvonne (Hurd) Godfrey, age 68, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at Altoona Health and Rehab Center.

Survivors include daughters Nicole (Gregg) Carter, Jackie (Matt) Rush; brother David Hurd; sister Diane Broome; and 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Godfrey is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mariam Hurd; and husband Darnell Dawson Godfrey. Mrs. Godfrey loved music of all kinds, enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, and loved to dote on her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at 12:30 pm in Cleveland Memory Gardens 36632 State Highway 79 Cleveland, Alabama 35049, with burial to follow.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
