Obituary for Willie Scott Lingo

Willie Scott Lingo, age 82, of Cleveland passed away on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 at St. Vincent's Blount Medical Center. Mr. Lingo was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was a power crane operator. He was a member of the HPPA Horseman's Club and the Iron and Steel Workers Union. Mr. Lingo enjoyed working with his animals, farming, playing cards and word searches.

Mr. Lingo will be forever remembered by his wife Mary Lingo; son Mark (Wendy) Posey; special niece Kathy (Wayne) Brooks; grandchildren Ryan Posey, Rafe Posey; great grandchildren Adison Posey, Landen Posey, Ashton Posey, Olivia Posey; great neices Brandy Consagra, Jennifer (Shane) Perry, Hope (Josh) Tate. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Winfield and Elma Lannie Branham Lingo; brother Walton "Duggan" Lingo.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Friday, July 27th, 2018 from11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Bro. Gary Freeman will officiate services following on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama with military honors. Pallbearers to be Bim Hathcock, Lee Hathcock, Heath Hathcock, Willie Branham, David Myrick, Casey Grigsby; Honorary Pallbearer Hayden Hudson.
