Obituary for Wesley "Brandon" Stedham

Wesley Brandon Stedham, age 48, of Hayden, AL passed away November 24, 2020. Brandon was a native of Calhoun County, where he attended Saks High School and obtained his Associate's degree from Ayers State. He then married and moved to Blount County to start his family. He was a devoted husband and father who took great pride in his children and was always there to cheer them on.

Mr. Stedham was an employee of the Hillman Group where he earned the Super Star Award for outstanding performance. He was a brilliant man with extensive knowledge of music and history, a skilled marksman and a true patriot. He took great pride in his Scottish heritage, his ancestry and he loved the Crimson Tide. His voice could be heard Friday nights on WCRL Radio as he announced games for the Hayden Wildcats and did PA announcing for Hayden Youth Park Association, Hayden JR High, Hayden JR Varsity and Blount County Youth Association playoff games. His heart overflowed with love and compassion for his friends, family, and fellow man. He was a perfect example of a loving son, caring brother, and a true friend. A great listener and counselor, beloved by so many.

Mr. Stedham was preceded in death by his father, James Arlie Stedham and grandparents, William and Gertrude Stedham and Bernard Fielder and Flossie Fielder Birdwell. He is survived by his wife, Misty Cook Stedham; children Caelyn and Jacob Stedham; mother, Yvonne Stedham Hill; sisters, Kim (Jeffry) Baker; Melea (Jathan) Futral, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the Hayden Senior Football Team. Honorary pallbearers will be Locust Fork Senior Park Football Team, Michael Knight, Robert Bradford, Scott McClellan, Ted Turgeon and Tony Turner.
