Mr. Virgil Edward Tawbush, age 88, of Blountsville passed away Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Tawbush enjoyed farming, hunting, and gardening and loved his church. He was a retired TCI Steel Worker.

Survivors include sons Edward "Eddie" Tawbush (Martha), David Keith Tawbush; daughters Joyce Laverne Swann (Harold), Barbara Estelle Hollis (Kim); brother Dan Tawbush (Anne); sister in law Genalee Tawbush; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd Charlie and Lula Tawbush; wife Vivian Geneva Rodda Tawbush; brothers Charlie Tawbush, Vernon Tawbush (Betty); sisters Marseille Calvert, Velma Isabell (Don).

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 9th, 2017 at 11:00 am in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama.

Pallbearers: Roy Swann, Perry Harris, Eddie Wayne Tawbush, Nicholas Tawbush, Jeff Campbell, Cameron Campbell, Carlos Lopez.
