Condolences

Condolence From: Robbie
Condolence: My father, Robert Thomas Petty 78, had requested Military Honors after dedicating 3 years Sep 1954 to Sep 1957 Active Duty Army during the Korean War. He then spent another 23 proud years in the Alabama Air National Guard, retiring with the next to highest rank an enlisted man can achieve (E8-Senior Master Sergeant). I am extremely proud of the many things he accomplished in his lifespan and I am VERY PROUD and HONORED to have shared some of his time on earth stationed together in the guard (known by many there as Sergeant Daddy and Airman Son). We are doing our best to honor his request and he will be buried with Full Military Honors. I have been told that he will receive the flag draped over casket. A full Honor Guard Team will remove and properly fold the flag, presenting it to my mother, a 21 gun salute and taps.
