Obituary for Robert George Moss

Robert Moss, 85, of Cleveland, Alabama, passed away on January 12, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1938. Survivors include his loving wife Linda Moss, son Jim Hawkins, daughters Lisa Langston, Diane Dyar (Shannon), brother William Moss, grandchildren Nicole Supan (M.J.), Robbie Martin (Ashlee), Logan Dyar ( Starlyn), Shiane Dyar, Whitney Hawkins, Chasten Hawkins, great- grandchildren Emree Martin, Easton Martin,Oliver Martin and Tyler Martin. He is preceded in death, by his parents Mr. and Mrs. William and Pauline Moss, brothers Mark Moss and Paul Moss.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 27th, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049.Robert was a devoted photographer, known for his passion for capturing special moments. He dedicated 25 years to photographing the University of Alabama Athletes, leaving an indelible mark on the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. In addition to his work with athletes, Robert also specialized in wedding and golf photography, but his true passion lay in capturing the spirit of Alabama football players and other athletes.

Robert proudly served his country in the Navy, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and commitment to duty. His military associations were an integral part of his life, and he exemplified the values of honor, integrity and loyalty.

Robert found solace and community in the Locust Fork Baptist Church. His faith played a significant role in his life, providing him with guidance and support.

Mr. Moss will be remembered for his incredible talent as a photographer, his service to his country, and his unwavering faith. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy.
