Paul Eldridge "John" Hollingsworth age 81, of Locust Fork passed away Friday, November 4th, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors include wife of 56 years Nancy "Thomas" Hollingsworth, sons Matthew Paul Hollingsworth (Shannon), John Russell Hollingsworth (Amy), brother Jessie Curtis Hollingsworth, sister June Luella Stark (Ralph), sister in law Rochelle Bryant, grandchildren Caleb (Kaley), Clayton, Ashley, Delynn, Shelbie, and Emma. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jewel "Gilliand" Hollingsworth, daughter Brenda Shawn Hollingsworth, brothers Charles Leonard Hollingsworth, Acton Augustus Hollingsworth, Tracy Gene Hollingsworth, sisters Lois Ivanell Sweatt, Helen Louise Brumley, Mila Dean Dempsey, and Jewel Lowe.
The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049. On Sunday, November 6th, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 6th, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Green's Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.
Mr. Hollingsworth was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, farming and gardening. Most of all, he was a family man and loved his grandchildren and family, very much.
