Obituary for Lloyd Wayne Stephenson
Lloyd Wayne Stephenson age 87, of Pinson passed away Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at his residence.
Survivors include: his companion Oneta Rhea, son Tracy Stephenson, daughter-in-law Terri Stephenson, sisters Joyce Harris and Jennette Moore, brother Dr. Bobby Stephenson, brother-in-law Charles (Pete) Tracy, sisters-in-law Sylvia Faust and Yvonne Lambert , and a host of nieces and nephews and special caregivers Diana Sullivan, Diane Glover and Paul Reese. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas C and Telitha Stephenson, his wife of 65 years, Marie Tracy Stephenson, son Lloyd Wayne Stephenson, Jr. (Rusty), brothers TC Stephenson and Floyd Stephenson, sisters Sylvia Dade and Annette Stephenson.
The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Thursday, February 25th, 2021 from 11:00am until 12:00pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at 12:00pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Trafford, Alabama.
Mr. Stephenson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Upon retirement he became an avid woodworker making countless gorgeous pieces from Walnut, Oak, Pecan, Maple and Pine. Mr. Stephenson loved fishing and enjoyed traveling with wife of 65 years, Marie and with their bird.
