Linda Marie  Carter (Smith)
Linda Marie (Smith) Carter, age 69, of Oneonta passed away on Monday, May 21st, 2018 surrounded by her family at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. Mrs. Carter was a native of Calhoun County, and lived previously in Birmingham before moving to Blount County. She was an appliance specialist for Lowe's and enjoyed gardening and bargain hunting.

Left to cherish her memories are husband Robert Carter; daughters Kim and Robert Fraser, Danielle Reaves, Kristen and Jeremy Talbot, Jennifer and Jody Brazell, Kristy and Brandon Schrimsher; mother Lorraine Smith; sister Margaret and Tommy Medders; grandchildren Logan Fraser, Kensley Talbot, Cameron Carter, Kelsi Carter, Riley Brazell, Carter Brazell, Luke Brazell, Sam Schrimsher, Hank Schrimsher; and many friends in her Lowe's family. She is preceded in death by her father Fred Gerald Smith; son Robert Daniel Carter.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Friday, May 25th from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Graveside Funeral Services will be held following at 2:00 pm in Cleveland Memory Gardens; Bro. Joey Ray officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memory of Mrs. Carter to the American Cancer Society.
