Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Edward Putman, his mother Margaret Baker Putman, and his siblings, Calvin Edward Jr, Lucy Goolesby, Nadra Strickling, and Philip Gerald.

Jonathan resided on a family farm in Cleveland, AL from childhood and later moved to Skyball Mountain where he was surrounded by nature. He was a skilled builder who worked in construction for most of his life. He had a natural talent for building and could construct anything he set his mind to. His skills in construction helped him provide for his family, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Jonathan raised his two sons as a single father, teaching them everything he knew. He instilled in them a strong work ethic, a love for nature, and an ideology of living life free. He was proud of his sons and loved spending time with them and his grandchildren.

In addition to being an expert builder, Jonathan was also an accomplished artist. He had a passion for painting and was skilled at capturing the beauty of the world around him. He was also an avid gardener, able to grow anything from beautiful flowers to bountiful crops. He loved raising chickens and was always eager to share his knowledge of farming and nature with anyone who was interested.

Jonathan's deep love for the outdoors and his faith in the Lord were guiding forces in his life. He was a kind person, always willing to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. He touched the lives of everyone he met and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
