Joel ("Joe Bob") Wayne Marsh, age 70, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Marsh was a Member of Locust Fork Masonic Lodge #481. He enjoyed racing especially watching Ernhardt. He enjoyed flying planes and was an avid Elvis fan.
Survivors include brother Jerry Marsh (wife Paulette) of Locust Fork; sister Mary Bontrager (husband Terry) of Cullman; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; and lots of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Earl L. and Ida C. Marsh, special Aunt Ethel Chambers whom for many years he was caregiver for; brother Robert Earl Marsh (wife Shirley); sisters Annie Mae Branham (husband Tommy) and Martha Fuller (husband Gerald).
The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 1:00 pm in Nectar First Congregational Methodist Church, with Bro. Mike Murphree and Bro. Gary Thrasher officiating. Mr. Marsh will lie in state at the church from 12:00 pm until service time. Pallbearers include Cody Ewing, John Marsh, Anthony Reno, James Adcock, Kenny McAnnally, and Mike Berry. Burial to follow with Masonic honors in Nectar Cemetery.
