Joe Thurman Standridge age 75 of Nectar, Al. passed away on Saturday 18, 2021 at St. Vincent's in Birmingham, Al. He was born July 21, 1946 at home in Nectar, Al. to the late Fred and Mozelle Standridge.
Joe enjoyed hunting for many years with his dad, uncle and brothers. He loved his animals and has a special place for his dogs Coco and Moji. The one thing he enjoyed the most in life was his family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them play at holiday gatherings, birthdays and swimming together at their pool. He was very proud of the legacy he had to leave behind.
Survivors include his wife Ruby Gale Standridge of Nectar, Al.; daughters Valerie Buckner (Allen) of Hayden, Al.; Sher'ee Wright (David) of Susan Moore, Al.; grandchildren Nikki Criddle (Josh) of Dodge City, Al.; Gabriel Wright (Samantha) of Susan Moore, Al.; Jordan Buckner (Catee) of Hayden, Al.; Bailee Smith (Cayson) of Susan Moore, Al. and 10 great grandchildren. Sisters Ann Pesnell of Hayden, Al.; Becky Bryant of Atalla, Al.; Liz Wilson
(Steve) of Cleveland, Al.; brother Bobby Standridge (Sandy) of Nectar, Al.; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Mozelle (Rucks) Standridge, son Derrick Standridge, brothers Freddie and Henry (Butch) Standridge.
The family will receive friends the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Nectar, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Gabriel Wright, Jordan Buckner, grandsons-in-law Josh Criddle, Cayson Smith, nephews Jamie Bryant, Jason Bryant, Honorary pallbearer: brother-in-law Timmy Moore.
