Mrs. Jeanette (Ridgeway ) Sherrer age 97, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, September 9th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include son Larry Sherrer (Jennie) of Homewood, AL, daughter Laura Richards of Cleveland, sister Maerene Spray of Florida, grandchildren David Richards (Dianne), Shane Richards (Sheryl), Heath Sherrer (Marthea), Jared Sherrer (Mironda), Kelsey Crawford (Nick), great-grandchildren Cole Richards (Kelcey), Peyton Richards, McCayla Roberts (Dillon), and Carson Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Homer and Vera Ridgeway, husband Howard Sherrer, brother Ernest Ridgeway and sister Jean Smith.
The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Green's Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church 811 Green's Chapel Road Cleveland, Alabama 35049, with burial to follow at Green's Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.
Mrs. Sherrer enjoyed crafts and sewing. She was passionate about baking cakes and cookies. She did things for her church family and people in need. She loved to send out cards for every occasion. She was well-known and loved for how she put others above herself and will be greatly missed.
