James "Pete" Morrison age 86, of Hayden passed away Sunday, April 4th, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife Lucy Morrison, sons Wesley Reid Morrison (Wendy), Cort Morrison (Libby), daughters Jacqueline Horton, Wendy Posey (Mark), brother Charles "Buddy" Morrison (Lou Jean), 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred Morrison, great granddaughters Sierra and Maddi Thomas Morrison.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Friday, April 9th, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Nectar, Alabama.

Mr. Morrison was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved the outdoors, being on his tractor, fishing, hunting, and sports. He was an avid Alabama fan but most of all he was a family man and enjoyed telling stories.
