Obituary for Ithoma Samantha "Sam" Miller

Ithoma Samantha Stephens Miller, "Sam", age 80, of Blountsville passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Vincent's Blount Hospital in Oneonta.

Survivors include her sons Frankie Miller and Billy Miller. Mrs. Miller had five granddaughters Tawana Miller, Tabitha Miller, Laura Blackwood, Amanda Miller and Melissa Miller. She had nine great grandchildren Noah Blackwood, Logan Blackwood, Emma Hubbard, Annabelle Stevenson, Austin Miller, Kylie Miller, Rylan Miller, Aubrey Taylor and Aslyn Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and lots of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents William Isacc Stephens and Lillie Lucretia Ensley Stephens and her husband Frank Jasper Miller, Sr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, February 22, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Joy Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was employed and retired from the Lee Plant in Guntersville, Al. as a seamstress. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and helping others. She was an active member of Cleveland Church of Christ and a loving "Nana" to all her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
