Ermine Hildon Hayes, fondly called "Main", age 88, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Hayes was born in Blount County, Alabama on November 18, 1930 to J. C. and India Hayes. Mr. Hayes enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, hunting, Alabama football, and the Atlanta Braves. He doted on his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was known to do almost anything. Mr. Hayes was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife of 65 years Wynona Whittington Hayes; son Martin (Vicki) Hayes; daughter in law Kathy Hayes; brothers Eldridge (Martha) Hayes, Larry (Jackie) Hayes; grandchildren Joshua and Amy Hayes, Shana and Steven Bryant, Tyler Hayes, Hayden and Jessica Hayes; great grandchildren Brandon Lee, Brady Hayes, McKenna Hayes, Whitt Hayes, Audri Hayes. He is preceded in death by his parents J. C. and India Hayes; son Jink Hayes; brothers Edward Hayes, Edgar Hayes, Richard Hayes; sister Dorothy Berry.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7th, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following on Thursday, February 7th, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Hale officiating. Burial to follow at High Rock Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama. Pallbearers are Josh Hayes, Stephen Hays, Tyler Hayes, Hayden Hayes, Kyle Franklin, Toby Hollingsworth.
