Clyde James Posey of Leeds, AL passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Surviving Mr. Posey are his wife Irene Walker Posey, son Clyde James "Jimmy" Posey, II (Catherine), daughter Debbie Posey Watkins (Andy) and brother Ronald Posey (Mary Ann). He had six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Verbon and Frances Posey and sister Thelma Posey Blackwood.

Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, 17885 State Hwy. 160, Cleveland, Al. 35049, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on February 22, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to services.

Mr. Posey was a Mason and Shriner. He was retired from the Air Force and a retired teacher from the Blount County School System. He was a member of Leeds First Baptist Church and enjoyed going on mission trips with their friends Bob and Eudella Paul. Mr. Posey was a charter member of Fowler Springs Baptist Church in Blountsville, AL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was a friend to all.
