Obituary for Clyde Mitchell Owen Jr.
Clyde (Junior) Mitchell Owen Jr. age 72, of Locust Fork, Alabama passed away Monday, February 20th, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Owen is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara Vann Owen, son David Junior Owen(Lindsey), daughter Elizabeth Owen Jawahreh(Hani), sister Lillie Dailey(Newton), grandchildren Courtney Raegan Owen, Selena Cher Jawahreh, Brody Alexander Owen, Ava Elizabeth Ward and Zoey Leigh Ward, he is survived also by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Mitchell Owen, Sr. and Lillian Coin Owen, his sister's Juanita Clements, Evelyn Berry and Janice Dumas, brother's Jesse Ray Owen and Gene Owen, his granddaughter Elizabeth Nicole Weston and his grandson Zachary Trey Bailey.
The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama. Preston Weston and Ronnie Daily will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Kelly, Kolby, and Kasey Rhoades, Richard and Koty Gaither and Devin Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell and Travis Palmer.
Mr. Owen worked for Acipco for 34 years. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with his flowers, keeping his yard manicured, going fishing, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family and loved them very much..
