Obituary for Clarence Stewart Jr.
Clarence Stewart Jr. age 89, of Remlap, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at UAB Hospital.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his sons Joe Stewart(Rhonda), James Stewart and Scott Stewart, sisters Shirley Knight(Charles), Peggy Posey(Billy) and Lois Hopkins, grandchildren Blake Stewart, C.J. Stewart, Chelsea Stewart, Julieann Stewart, Jamie Stewart, Preston Vance and Brittaney Vance, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Sarah M. Burks Stewart, his wife Jean Limbaugh Stewart and his daughter Natalie Vance.
The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Monday, May 23rd, 2022 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 1:15 pm.
Clarence Stewart Jr. served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Locust Fork Church of God. Mr. Stewart loved traveling, farming, fishing and loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
