Chester Coy Holt, age 84, of Trafford passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at Meadow View Nursing Center in Pell City. Mr. Holt was a veteran of the United States Navy as a Steam Generating Plant Supervisor. He received 4 Good Conduct Medals in the many years that he served. Mr. Holt enjoyed helping other people; he loved to work with tools and was a machinist. He loved the Lord and attended Holiness Mission Tabernacle Church.

Left to cherish his memories are wife Martha Richey Holt; stepson Jesse (Sylvia) Richey; stepdaughter Debra (Ronnie) Graves; loving niece Kathy (Scott) Smith; 1 Brother; 3 Sisters; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Jim Hafley and Mary Holt; stepsons Charles Ray Richey, Bobby Richey; 1 Brother; 1 Sister.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Bro. Ronnie Graves and Bro. David Roper will officiate services on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama with military honors.
