Obituary for Charles Wilson Doty
Charles Wilson Doty, 75, of Columbus, NC, previously of Cleveland, Alabama, passed away January 7, 2019. He was the son of the late Troy Wilson and Dimple Beatrice Price Doty and husband of Reba Jackson Holbert Doty.
He retired from the US Army as a Master Sergeant and served during the Vietnam and the Korean war.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Philip E. Holbert; a daughter, Kim Honeycutt (Hank); two brothers, Marty Doty (Will), Cully Doty (Renee); two grandchildren, Jonathan Holbert (Sydney), Andrew Holbert and great grandchildren, Holden and Lillian Holbert. He was predeceased by a brother, John Henry Doty and two sisters, Lois Jean Adams and Travis Ann Sherbert.
The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Friday, January 11th, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held following at 2:00 PM in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to be held in Nectar Cemetery.
