Betty Jean (Dixon) Martin, age 78, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A nurse by trade, Mrs. Martin enjoyed arranging flowers and savored every moment with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Survivors include husband Anthony Wayne Martin; sons Glenn (Tsianina) Martin, Derek (Kaye) Martin; grandchildren Jessica Camille Martin (Tyler) Richmond, Jacob Allen Martin, Morgan (Josh) Lawler, Josie Wright, and Tiffany Wright. She is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Bertie Lee Dixon; brothers Alvin Dixon, Wayne Dixon, Marvin Dixon; sisters Jessie Bennett, Alene Copeland, and Shirley Lee.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 21st, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Dailey's Chapel Cemetery in Oneonta, Alabama.

Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
