Obituary for Bertram Gregory Junk

Mr. Bertram Gregory Junk, age 85, of Locust Fork passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at Cullman Health and Rehab. Mr. Junk was an avid football fan of Alabama and Notre Dame; enjoyed watching other sports as well as Wheel of Fortune. He loved to feed the birds and took a great interest in the small ones getting food before the bigger ones. He was a very kind hearted gentleman that will be missed greatly.

Survivors include sons Richard Junk, Bobby and Cathy Junk; daughter Cindy and Phillip Maddox; sister Mary Annette Lee; grandchildren Jonathon Junk, Brandon Junk, Lacey Tipton, April Silas, Matthew Maddox, Steven Junk, Patrick Graves, Justin Presley, Tyler Junk; great grandchildren Charleigh Silas, Jeremiah Junk. Paisleigh Maddox, Ethan Junk, Weston Junk, Landon Junk. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Joseph and Florence Marie Junk; his wife Thelma (Holt) Junk; son Phillip Junk; brothers Wilbert C., Jerome, Johnny, and Jerry Junk; sister Katherine Junk; grandchild Jeremy Junk.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Rosary to follow in our chapel at 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 in Saint Boniface Catholic Church, 302 Blountsville Street Hanceville, Alabama 35077, with burial including Military honors to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama.
