Obituary for Barbara Ann Staton (Cooley)
Barbara Ann (Cooley ) Staton age 82, of Hayden, Alabama passed away Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Staton is survived by her son Terry Staton, Jr., daughters Betty Williams(Jesse), Vickie McAnnally, Sherri Akers(Barry), Tammy Mayfield(Johnnie), Stacey Elam(Chris), brother Johnny Cooley, grandchildren Tracy, Kim(Michael), Jennifer, Taylor, Dylan, Jessica(Andrew), Jana, Joshua(Stacie), Jonah(Kylie), Jamey and Justin, a host of great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Moses Cooley, mother Pherbia Higginbotham Cooley Knight, step-father Gaddis Knight, her husband Terry Wallace Staton, Sr. and her sister Nancy Drummond.
The family will receive friends at Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St. Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in High Rock Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama
Mrs. Staton was a member of Locust Fork Baptist Church. She always enjoyed taking her children on trips every year, and bowling. She enjoyed going camping, fishing and going to the beach. In her down time she loved to read, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her Lord and Savior. She will be missed by all who knew her.
