Astarsia "Star" (Uptain ) Hale age 53, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 2nd at her residence .

Survivors include her father Eugene Uptain, husband Doug Hale, sons Jacob (Holly) Hale, Derik (Shelby) Hale, and Drew Hale, sister Vickie Jean (Jimmy) Hardin, grandchildren Sierra, Kendal, Cody, Noah and Brody Hale.

She is preceded in death by her mother Billie Gail Uptain.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday March 6, 2018, at the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oakwood at Gardendale Ridouts Cemetery in Gardendale, Alabama.

Mrs. Hale was employed with the Blount County Board of Education, as a Bus Driver.

She enjoyed scrap-booking, fishing, gardening, reading, studying her Bible and loved spending special time with her grandchildren.
