Lois Jean (Doty) Adams, age 80, of Cleveland passed away Friday, November 2nd, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Adams was an avid Braves baseball fan. She taught Sunday School for numerous years and was the vice president of her 1956 graduating class at Cleveland High School. Mrs. Adams was voted most beautiful in her class, and she enjoyed reading, canning, camping and traveling. Mrs. Adams was known to be an excellent cook and always loved watching shows like Walker Texas Ranger and Matlock.

Survivors include daughter Tammy & Terry Van Hooser; granddaughters Harper and Gracie Van Hooser; brothers Charles (Reba) Doty, Marty (Will) Doty, Cully (Rene) Doty; and host of nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her parents Troy Wilson and Dimple Beatrice Doty; husband Billy Joe Adams; daughter Sue Ellen Adams; brother John Henry Doty; sister Travis Ann Sherbet.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home on Sunday, November 4th, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following on Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at 2:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to be held at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.
