Linda (Bullard) Dempsey, age 62, of Oneonta passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31st, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dempsey enjoyed flowers, especially yellow roses. She liked to go fishing and boating; and doted on her grandchildren.

Survivors incude husband E.J. Dempsey; sons Terry Washburn, Danny (Jamie) Washburn, Chris (Rhonda) Washburn, Keith Dempsey; daughter Sandy Dempsey; brothers Wayne (Gail) Bullard, James (Linda) Bullard; sisters Inez (Jerry) Sivley, Faye Hill; grandchildren Tyler Washburn, Justin Washburn, Brody Washburn, Caleb Washburn, Jacob Washburn, Alex Washburn, Katie Marie Washburn, Ryan Bailey, Riley Bailey, Raven Bailey, Peyton Dempsey, and Bailey Dempsey. She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred Junior and Ruby Inellie Bullard, and brother Johnny Bullard.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 12:00 pm in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Dempsey will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am until service time, with burial to follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Blountsville, Alabama.
