Mr.Johnathan Elliott Steeley, age 69, of Hayden passed away Tuesday, August 11th, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr. Steeley was a veteran of the United States Air Force last serving as a SSGT. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years Tina Bryan Steeley; son Blake Elliott (Samantha) Steeley; daughter Kelly Steeley (Jack) Best; brothers Joe (Dean) Steeley, Jim (Sarah) Steeley, Jeff (Cheryl) Steeley; sisters Judy (Ed) Lawrence, Jerri (Michael) Waterhouse; grandchildren Brooke Best, Logan Steeley, Ariel Steeley, Baylee Best,Gunter Steeley and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack Steeley and Agnes Gertrude Gardner; and sister Jackie (Marlon) Thomas.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Friday, August 14th, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following at 1:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Mount Joy Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.

Mr. Steeley was a avid Alabama Football fan; loved fishing, hunting, golf, riding 4-wheelers; and always had a special place for his family and grandchildren..
